S355JR Z profile steel sheet pile is a Z shaped steel sheet with joint on upper and lower ends. It forms a continuous wall by connecting the join. With its wide width, it shortens construction period and has high economic efficiency compared to typical Larsen steel sheet piles.
Strengths of S355JR Z profile steel sheet pile
1.High economic efficiency
With its joint designed to be placed at both upper and lower ends, Z profile S355JR steel sheet pile can construct wide cross sectional shaped continuous walls. This is a much efficient sectional design with lighter weight and higher cross sectional performance compared to typical steel sheet piles. Such as U profile ones, meaning that it can drastically lessens material cost with equal cross sectional performance.
2.Shortens construction period
S355JR Z profiles sheet pile can shorten construction period by drastically lessening the time for pile positioning work and driving work with its wide width, lessening the number of sheets to be driven in for equal construction length.
3.High cut-off performance
With its wide width, S355JR Z profile steel sheet pile can lessen then number of sheets to be driven in for equal construction length, leading to less number of joints where water leakage occur. This means that it can drastically decrease the amount of water leakage. Moreover, Katalor made Z profile has much compact joints with smaller opening compared to conventional cold roll formed steel piles, showing much higher cut-off performance.
4.High structural reliability
Since the joint positions of S355JR Z profile steel sheet pile are placed at upper and lower outer edge to the neutral axis, no joint dispositioning will occur by longitudinal shearing force which occurs around the neutral axis at times of bending deformation. This means that it is a highly reliable structure with no decrease in cross sectional performance by joints dispositioning.
