EN10025 S275JR, J0, J2 I BEAM STEEL

EN10025 S275JR, J0, and J2 I Beam steel is a rolled steel beam, shaped like a traditional capital I, i.e. one with lines to top and bottom. The veridical part of the S275JR, J0, and J2 I Beam is called the web and principally carries shear loads and the tops and bottoms are flanges and principally carry bending loads. EN10025 S275JR, J0, and J2 I Beam can also be fabricated from timber or precast concrete but reference to S275JR, J0, and J2 I Beam usually refers to the steel ones. EN10025 S275JR, J0, and J2 I Beam have a greater stiffness than a square or rectangular section with the same thickness.

The stiffness of S275JR, J0, and J2 I Beam is measured in terms of Moment of Inertia (Ix). The stiffness of S275JR, J0, and J2 I Beam is calculated by breaking the section into rectangular sections, calculating the stiffness of each component then applying the parallel axis theorem.
