Austenitic SUS304characteristics and effect of Chemical Content

Main features SUS304(06Crl9Nil0) steel are :
1 , stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance between performance and good resistance to intergranular corrosion. On the oxidizing acid such as nitric acid in a concentration of ≤65% below the boiling temperature of the medium , with strong corrosion resistance. Most of the alkali solution and organic and inorganic acids also have good corrosion resistance.

3 , better low temperature performance . At -180 ℃ condition , strength, elongation , reduction of area are good. Since no brittle transition temperature , often at low temperatures . 4,304 steel also has shortcomings in performance : intergranular corrosion after welding on large sectional dimension sensitive steel ; c1- containing water ( including wet atmosphere ) is very sensitive to stress corrosion ; low mechanical strength , machinability compared and poor

Different chemical composition SUS304:

 Carbon Content: reducing or increasing the carbon content. 304L 304 for ultra-low carbon steel. Copper content: adding a certain levels of copper. Copper austenite more stable. As S30430 (06Crl8Nil9Cu3, SUSXM7), SUS304J3 (06Crl8Nil9Cu2) and so on, these steels with more than 304 in less deformation force, for greater cold deformation, more suitable for cold heading, cold extrusion for fasteners or by deep drawing, drawing and other purposes.
